no project cards again... no apology in magazine from what i can see either for omitting them last month, (though haven't read it in depth yet) - seems a little off not to address the issue - when the magazine is obviously aware of it...
poor show - get you to subscribe for 12 months then remove one of the main features of the magazine, for me anyway! |

Very disappointed, that no one from the magazine has replied on the forum either. As you say lowfive, this is a poor show

I must agree with the others, it's a bit naughty not saying anything in the mag about these problems, especially when you have issued card holders etc.
Are there plans to try and overcome these problems and put them in future issues? |

I have recently ordered Issue 1 through the back issues service, and received it not long ago, but I was quite sad to see the project cards were missing!!!
Especially sad since they are referred to in the text of the magazine, and needed for some of the other projects. When the technical problems with printing the cards have been resolved, will I be sent the missing project cards from Issue 1? ![]() |

Thank you for finally letting us know about the missing cards, but I would like to have seen an announcement in the magazine at the very least. I'm sure most people would have been more understanding had we as faithful customers had been made aware.
I have to agree with the comments about bad form as I began to question what was going on with the cards when I made an attempt to purchase the card storage box a couple of weeks ago only to find that it was no longer available. I do not like to feel as though something is trying to get sneaked passed me. I am in agreement once again with the other readers that the cards were a major draw to the magazine. I wonder if the cover price will remain the same even though a substantial feature appears to be missing, possibly for good. The offer of a free tape measure doesn't really make up for the missing projects as, like most readers I would imagine, I have quite a collection of tape measures already as I'm an active crafter and sewer. The removable and portable project cards were brilliant as my studio/making space is tiny and there is no room on my sewing table for the full magazine if I were in need for following precise directions. Come on Making! You can do better than that! ![]() I have passed your magazine on to friends who have since taken out subscriptions as well, surely faithful customers and supporters deserve communication at least? I am a vintage and craft based small business woman. I have a large, diverse and international readership of my blog, I want to feature Making Magazine. I will wait to hear your response before going ahead. I look forward to the staff response. Thank you! |

Afternoon to all, Apologies to have had to keep you waiting on this one. Making magazines' publisher has issued this statement with regards to the project cards. If you require any further comment or assistance on this matter please contact jonathang@thegmcgroup.com "There have been a number of issues with the production of the project cards. They should have appeared in all copies of the first 2 issues - but it appears that they were missing from some copies. As a result we have stopped including the project cards with later issues, and also selling the project card boxes. The next issue of making will include a free tape measure. Obviously, if you would like to cancel your subscription as a result of the missing cards, then please contact jonathang@thegmcgroup.com (before 28 February), who will arrange a refund. I apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused." Jonathan Grogan Publisher
